Saturday afternoon and evening, 6 August 2005. The first Montreal Regional Burning Man event is in full swing by the time Sign Guy (me) finally gets there.

Lookit the size o' that Burn Pit! Those boulders are meters across. Humans could not possibly have constructed this. Its mysterious builders must have had Unearthly Assistance...

One lovely day in August, Bonhomme Flambé went walking in Sherman's Forest. Oh no! The spiders got him. Tant pis pour lui! Installation by Philippe, Marie-Eve, Reginald and Carolyn.

I got to work immediately on making a few signs. They're hula hoops with muslin stapled to them. The Chill Space provided Brûleurs with a shady, snug place to relax, with soft blankies and stuffed animals.

Centre Camp Central. Grills operating non-stop. Someone (??) on the massage table gets a working-over from Sherman and ??

At Burning Man 2005 "The Psyche", MotleyBastard and I will be camping with the Lost Penguin Café, at 4:55 Esplanade -- do drop in and say hi! The Penguins' gift to their guests is fine wine and chocolates (and live music, improv comedy, cool shade and much else). As a most northerly member of the flock, I felt it important to do my Penguinly duty. "Chocolat? Et du vin?"
